Richard Perlman became Co-Executive Chairman Emeritus on January 1, 2026. He served as Co-Executive Chairman as of January 2020 having served as our Executive Chairman since August 12, 2010. Previously, Mr. Perlman served as our Co-Chairman of the Board, Co-Chief Executive Officer, and a director from July 2008. Mr. Perlman is also the President of Compass Partners, L.L.C. ("Compass Partners"), a merchant banking and financial advisory firm he founded in 1995 that specializes in middle market companies and corporate restructuring. Mr. Perlman served as Chairman and Director of TurboChef Technologies, Inc., a commercial food equipment manufacturer, from October 2003 until January 2009, when TurboChef was acquired by The Middleby Corporation. Mr. Perlman was the Chairman of PracticeWorks, Inc., a dental software company, from March 2001 until its acquisition by The Eastman Kodak Company in October 2003. Mr. Perlman served as Chairman and Treasurer of AMICAS, Inc. (formerly VitalWorks Inc.), a software company specializing in healthcare practice management from January 1998 and as a Director from March 1997 until the completion of the spin-off of PracticeWorks, Inc. in March 2001. Prior to this time, Mr. Perlman was involved in the acquisition and operation of several private companies in the home furnishings, automobile replacement parts, and real estate industries where he was a principal and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Perlman is on the Executive Advisory Board of the Wharton Undergraduate School, the Advisory Board of The Wharton School Entrepreneurship Program as well as the sponsor of The Perlman Grand Prize for the winner of The Annual Wharton School Business Plan Contest. Mr. Perlman is also a Trustee of the James Beard Foundation, a board member of Sun Valley Center for the Arts, and the Boys and Girls Club of Sarasota. Mr. Perlman received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters in Business Administration from Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
James K. Price is Co-Executive Chairman Emertius having served as Co-Executive Chairman since January 15, 2020. He served as our Chief Executive Officer from August 12, 2010 to January 15, 2020, and a director since July 2008. Previously, Mr. Price served as our Co-Chairman of the Board and Co-Chief Executive Officer from July 2008. From October 2003 to January 2009, Mr. Price served as President, Chief Executive Officer and director of TurboChef Technologies, Inc. Mr. Price served as President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of PracticeWorks, Inc. from March 2001 until its acquisition by The Eastman Kodak Company in October 2003. Mr. Price was a co-founder of AMICAS, Inc. (formerly VitalWorks Inc.) and served as its Executive Vice President and Secretary from July 1997 until the completion of the spin-off of PracticeWorks, Inc. in March 2001. Mr. Price also served as an executive officer of American Medcare and co-founder and an executive officer of International Computer Solutions, which provided healthcare software systems and information services later acquired by VitalWorks Inc. Mr. Price sits on the Board of Directors of several privately held companies and non-profit organizations. Mr. Price holds a B.B.A. in marketing from the University of Georgia.
J. Miguel Fernandez de Castro became Executive Chairman on January 1, 2026 having served as Chief Executive Officer since September 2024. He served as Co-CEO and Chief Financial Officer since 2020 and Chief Financial Officer and Senior Executive Vice President since March 2009. Mr. Fernandez de Castro was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of TurboChef Technologies, Inc. from October 2007 to February 2009, and Vice President of Finance and Controller from April 2004 to February 2009. From October 2003 to February 2004, Mr. Fernandez de Castro served as the Controller of PracticeWorks, Inc. and served as Director of Financial Reporting from August 2000 until its acquisition by The Eastman Kodak Company in October 2003, during which time PracticeWorks was a publicly traded company. Mr. Fernandez de Castro served as Manager of Financial Reporting of AMICAS, Inc. (formerly VitalWorks Inc.) from August 2000 until the completion of the spin-off of PracticeWorks, Inc. in March 2001. Mr. Fernandez de Castro began his career in the audit services group of BDO Seidman, LLP, which provides assurance, tax, financial advisory and consulting services. Mr. Fernandez de Castro is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs. Mr. Fernandez de Castro received a B.A. in Economics and Spanish and a Masters in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Niel Simon became CEO North America in July 2025. Prior to joining ExamWorks Group, Niel served as CEO Gallagher Bassett Clinical beginning in April 2024 where he was responsible for a clinical solutions portfolio that included a newly designed provider navigation and concierge solution supporting group health, auto, liability, disability, and workers’ compensation. Between April 2014 and April 2024, Mr. Simon served as Executive Vice President of Global Solutions at Gallagher Bassett with responsibility for delivering all ancillary solutions used by claims professionals. His responsibilities spanned auto repair, investigations, litigation management, MSA/MSP, incident management/FNOL, POI injury triage, and the managed care portfolio. Mr. Simon joined Gallagher Bassett as Senior Vice President Managed Care Programming serving in that role from January 2013 to March 2014. Between January 1999 and December 2012, Mr. Simon served in various management consulting roles and ultimately as Partner at Bridge Strategy Group where he led the Property & Casualty and Healthcare Practices. He began his career at the strategy consulting firm, Renaissance Worldwide. Mr. Simon holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Brigham Young University and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Timothy Morphy has been the Director and Chief Executive Officer of MedHealth Group Pty Ltd. since June 2013. From January 2009 to June 2013, Mr Morphy served as the founding Managing Director of Healthways Australia Pty Ltd and established Australia’s largest integrated chronic disease management program. Prior to this he was General Manager Marketing at I-MED Network, Australia’s largest corporate radiology network, from January 2007 to December 2008.
He held a series of management roles at Medibank Private, Australia’s largest private health insurance organisation, including Manager Medibank Privatisation from July to December 2006, National Head of Marketing from December 2003 to June 2006, Acting General Manager Corporate Affairs & Marketing from September to November 2003, Acting Victorian Sales Manager from May to September 2003, Victorian Contact Centre Manager from December 2002 to November 2003 and Corporate Development Manager (August 2000 to November 2002).
Mr. Morphy has also served at Docklands Authority as Managing Executive Bid Management from June 1999 to August 2000, Project Director from February to May 1999 and Project Manager from June 1998 to January 1999. He was a Solicitor with Bamford Terrett Lawyers from January 1995 to September 1996. He began his career as a Solicitor with Clayton Utz from April 1994 to January 1995. He has practiced as a solicitor in NSW and holds a current practising certificate.
Mr. Morphy has received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Melbourne, Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the University of Technology Sydney, Bachelor of Laws from Australian National University, Canberra, and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne.
Mike Cutler became the Chief Executive Officer of ExamWorks UK in March 2020 and is responsible for the overall growth of operations and diversification, both organic and acquisitive. His career as a senior industry figure in the UK insurances and legal services industry spans 25 years. Previously Mr. Cutler served as Managing Director of Premex Services Ltd beginning in October 2013. Mike joined Premex Group in May 2009 as Operations Director. Prior to joining Premex Group in May 2009, he was a litigator at a Liverpool-based Silverbeck Rymer Solicitors between April 2009 and May 1997. Mr. Cutler received an LLB with honors from University of Central Lancashire and Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law, Chester.
Clare Y. Arguedas has been our General Counsel and Executive Vice President since February 2010. Ms. Arguedas manages the legal affairs of the Company. Prior to joining ExamWorks, Ms. Arguedas was an attorney at the law firm of Paul Hastings LLP from September 2006 to February 2010, during which time she was named a Leading Lawyer for Business by Chambers USA. Ms. Arguedas received a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Emory University School of Law.
Dr. Robert C. Porter has been our Chief Medical Director since July 2010 and President of Network Medical Review subsidiary since its founding in September 1995. Over the past 30 years, Dr. Porter has cultivated an interdisciplinary career that encompasses the clinical practice of medicine, medical evaluation, healthcare management and academia. He is a noted industry speaker and widely published. He has held numerous positions in the private sector including the position of Medical Director, Pioneer Life Insurance Company of Illinois, an insurance company, and President, National Health Services, Inc., a nonprofit providing healthcare. Dr. Porter has served in the public sector as the Director, Outpatient Healthcare Services and Director and Chairman, Department of Emergency Medicine and Occupational Medicine, Swedish American Hospital. From September 2006 to October 2009, he served as the Executive Director of Occupational Health Services for Sherman Health System, a hospital and healthcare system. He holds the academic appointment of Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois, College of Medicine. His medical practice experience includes the emergency, occupational and insurance disciplines. Dr. Porter is board certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine Occupational Medicine. Dr. Porter did his residency at the Toronto Western Hospital. He received a B.S. and M.D. from the University of Toronto.
