ExamWorks Announces the Appointment of Clare Arguedas as General Counsel

February 15, 2010 - ExamWorks, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Clare Arguedas as General Counsel of ExamWorks . Clare's areas of legal expertise include mergers, acquisitions, intellectual property and general corporate matters . In addition to managing the legal matters and compliance associated with various ExamWorks company transactions, she oversees legislative and regulatory affairs in the disability, no-fault and workers' compensation markets as well as Federal insurance industry regulation.

Clare brings significant cross-border experience to ExamWorks as a result of her representation of Sciele Pharma, Inc., in its sale by negotiated tender offer to Japanese pharmaceutical company Shionogi & Co., Ltd. for approximately $1.4 billion; Amgen, Inc., in negotiation of complex commercial contracts, including licensing, subscription and clinical trial data hosting arrangements; and Merial, Ltd., in the outsourcing of its business processes to Deloitte Consulting LLP.Ms. Arguedas received a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and J.D. from Emory University. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
